Rules and Regulations

  1. We cannot guarantee that a dog is totally housebroken, as a pet placed in new surroundings will often need to be gently worked with. Yorkies do not respond to harsh treatment. This will only make matters worse. If you feel that an occasional accident can be overlooked, then a Yorkie may be the right breed for you.
  2. We never place very small Yorkies in homes with small children.
  3. Only rarely do puppies come into rescue but it does happen occasionally. Most rescue dogs are at least a couple of years old and the majority are seniors. Seniors are almost always calm and loving and they make particularly wonderful pets.
  4. Please understand that we receive a huge volume of mail, and that e-mails can get lost. All of our board members and foster parents volunteer their spare time to help the dogs so please remember that it takes time to process applications. If you don't hear from us in a reasonable amount of time, please contact us again.
  5. We do not adopt outside the state of Texas
  6. There are many national groups on www.Petfinder.com, so please check for available pets in your state. Thank you so much for your interest in helping a rescued dog. These dogs are always grateful to find a wonderful new home, and you will find that they will enrich your life immeasurably with their love and devotion.
